Bright and Beautiful with Sugarpill!

Good morning Zombies!

Yesterday, I decided t go all out with the brights, due to it being a really gloomy day here in New Mexico. I figured Sugarpill would fit the bill nicely. I used mostly loose pigments for this vibrant look. I'm quite proud of it.

I did a fun but super simple (and sparkly) look yesterday to match the t-shirt I was wearing. (My husband drew the design!) The combination was too pretty NOT to blog about. I'm trying to get better about posting my looks to the blog and not just to Instagram. Sadly, I didn't get pictures with my "real" camera, just my iPhone. But, still. PRETTY!

In the last few weeks, I've tried to use the Milani lipstick I've been reviewing. I've worn a different color each day for the last 2 weeks and decided to show you a few of my favorite colors!

Sangria: Matte

Milani ColorSTATEMENT Plums and Berries lipstick, SWATCHES!

I'm excited to present to you the new Milani COLORstatment lipstick in plums and berries. Milani has just recently changed their lipstick packaging and it looks so very classy (and shiny) now! The lipstick formula is also absolutely amazing and oh so pigmented! My swatches are only ONE swipe of the lipstick! This is by FAR my favorite collection of colors from the new formulated lippies. They are all so gorgeous and totally up my alley.

Everything arrived from Milani in this adorable lip case. It strangely reminds me of my lips. hehe

Lipliner


I adore Chilled Brandy. It's probably my favorite of this lot, followed closely by Uptown Mauve, Plumrose (which is so creamy and pigmented!) and Violet Volt. The Fuchsia lip liner is incredibly creamy and lasts a really long time! Being that Milani is a drugstore brand, I'm really impressed with these lippies. They are on par with more of the higher end lipstick I own, if not more pigmented and creamy. There is a slight fruity smell to them, but in my opinion, it's not terribly overbearing, and I can't stand smelly lip products. Once again, I'm really impressed and love all the pretty colors in this lot.

Milani COLORstatement lipstick can be purchased at participating CVS, Target, Walgreens, Walmart, Kmart, and from the Milani website itself. The new COLORstatment lipstick retail for $5.49 online, but will differ depending on where you purchase them.

Don't Teal Me You Love Me, FOTD!

TGIF! It's been a long, harrowing week for me. My entire household has been sick. Just today I felt well enough to slap on some makeup and blog about it! It's been too long since a "face of the day" and I really wanted to make it a good one!

Last week I received a small order I'd placed with Darling Girl Cosmetics. Susan has recently come out with an eyeshadow called "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" which tons of my makeup friendlets began lusting over. I knew I had to have it and ordered it promprtly. Susan was kind enough to throw in some extras for me to swatch you for you! Two of the shades (Aristocrat and Dark Forest) will be released very soon, so stay tuned!
