Purple Smoke using Milani Bella Eyes!

Zombies!

It's Sunday and it's been one hell of a busy week! Today I went to visit a friend who is teaching me how to knit. So, of course, I had to do something with my new Milani Bella Eyes (check out my review and swatches). I opted for a purple combination, adding just a touch of smoke- perfect for daytime wear (or whenever, really!)

A guild for what was used.

The Goods:
TFSI as primer
NYX jumbo pencil in "Milk" as base for eyelid and jumbo pencil in "Purple" as a base for the lower lash line
Milani "Bella Pink" on main lid and inner corner
Milani "Bella Rouge" above crease
Milani "Bella Black" blended into the crease
Milani "Bella Violet" patted over "Purple" base on lower lash line
Milani "Bella Chiffon" as highlight
Random liner and mascara

I think this came out so pretty! I really adore the Bella Eyes line.

Guest Blogger: Makeup Fancy's "Red Queen"!

Zombies!

For funsies, I asked Emily from Makeup Fancy Blog to do a vampy guest post for MZ. What Emily came up blew me away!

Check it out!

Hey everyone, this is Emily of Makeup Fancy Blog; today I'm honored to be on Wendi's awesome blog and to share this special look with her followers! Before we get to the goods, here's a little bit about myself:

I started Makeup Fancy Blog a few years ago when I was first getting into makeup; I began watching youtube tutorials and reading other beauty blogs and really enjoyed it, so I decided to do it myself. I started out with a few makeup looks, which were pretty sad back then, as were my photography skills, lol. I had barely any makeup- just some assorted products from MARK (because I was a rep), and an 88 eyeshadow palette. My looks were pretty basic but I had fun doing them. Over the years my collection has grown, as has my experience; however I still like to experiment, play, and challenge myself to improve. I'm fond of using bright colors, and love doing things that are classic with a twist of my own.
Besides makeup looks, I also like to post product swatches, hauls, and reviews. My blog is a hobby so I do it when I have time; I'm not always consistent, but I try not to worry too much about it and just do what I enjoy. :)

Now, on to the makeup! I'm calling this look "Red Queen", which is not very imaginative but I'm not great with creative names. ;) I used products from Morgana Cryptoria, Darling Girl Cosmetics, BFTE Cosmetics, and a few others; you can check out more pics and products below. Hope you enjoy!♥

Products:

-Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-Morgana Cryptoria eyeshadow in Hemogoblin (red on lid and blended above crease)
-Coastal Scents 88 palette (black eyeshadow in crease)
-Darling Girl Cosmetics eyeshadow in Adoration (nude pearl to blend out red edges)
-BFTE Cosmetics eyeshadow in Gun Metal (silver on tear duct)
-BFTE Cosmetics eyeshadow in Forget Them Not (white/red duochrome on browbone)
-Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On pencil in Perversion (black)
-MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
-Maybelline The Rocket mascara in Blackest Black
-Urban Decay Naked Basics palette (Faint and Crave on brow)
-Cover Girl clear mascara (on brow)
-Wet N' Wild Coverall foundation in 815 Fair
-mark. Powder Buff in Nude

Yeah, check this girl out. She has some mad skills and I just love her eyeballs.  Thanks Emily! :D

Happy Friday everyone!

Maybelline Summer 2013 Color Tattoo Eyeshadow!

Happy Monday Zombies!

I don't know about you, but my weekend went by way too fast! I hate it when that happens. ;)

Today, I thought I'd show you a few of the new Maybelline Color Tattoo's for Summer 2013. These claim to all have a duochrome finish about them. I don't have them all, but I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the ones I do own. I'm hearing through the grapevine that these are hard to come by already. So far, I've seen them at my local Walgreens, ULTA, and CVS. I'm really surprised the displays are only offering a limited amount of each color though.

A quick look I did using Seashore Frosts over Too Faced Shadow Insurance primer.

My thoughts:

My two favorites of this group are Seashore Frosts and Blue Paradise. Seashore Frosts DOES have an amazing duochrome about it. And it does show up when you're wearing it. It's a lovely shade that lasts a really long time on the eyelids. Blue Paradise has a gorgeous pink/purple/blue shine to it in the jar, but it doesn't really translate to the eye, other than being a beautiful shiny soft blurple. Shady Shores is much more yellow than the jar picture poses it to be and it has an amazing green sheen to it! It's quite sheer, but would be great as a highlight color. Icy Mint is just that, an icy, shiny, light mint. I saved Lavish Lavender for last because sadly, it's my least favorite. While being a pretty shiny lavender color, it's sheer and didn't want to apply evenly to my eyelid. It also creased after an hours wear (I did not have that problem with Seashore Frosts). I love the sheen to it, but it does not stand out to me as anything special. :/

I feel like this collection is a kick up since the last batch of Color Tattoo's and I think the colors are light and fun for Summer. I'll have to play around more with them to determine if the other colors crease like Lavish Lavender. I'm pretty impressed all in all.

The Color Tattoo's range in price, but they are under $8.00 USD.

Have you been able to snag any of the new Color Tattoos?

Naturally Chic Neutral Eyes with Milani!

Happy ass Sunday Zombies!

A few days ago, I decided to test out the new Naturally Chic Shadow Eyez pencils from Milani and did a quick look with a few of the shades. I wanted to share my experience (and the look with you)!

For this look I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance as my primer and then Shadow Eyez in "Sand Dunes" on my main lid, "Cafe Au Lait" in the crease, "Golden Bronze" on the lower lash line and "Black Ink" in my waterline. I applied upper liner and mascara.

My thoughts: The Shadow Eyez are super easy to apply and so creamy! I was able to blend them easily with my makeup brush. They tend to glide on right from the pencil as well. Black Ink held up well in the waterline, but did not last the whole day- but this is normal for liner in my waterline. I think the main (and probably only) complaint I have about the Shadow Eyez is that after about an hour of wear, it felt as if my eyelids were sticking together- so I don't know that they ever fully *dried* on my lids. I can NOT stand that feel. They did not crease in the 8+ hours of wear, which is a huge bonus to me. I will be trying them without primer in the future or over a different primer to see if that makes a difference.

I really adore this look. It was very shiny in person and I received several compliments on it. :)

Have you been able to locate the new Shadow Eyez from Milani? What are your favorite shades?

Chinovi Cosmetics Christmas Collection Swatches!

Hey Zombies!

As promised, I have for you swatches of the newest Limited Edition collection from Chinovi Cosmetics. The Christmas Collection! The colors in this collection are absolutely stunning!

The cute design on the front of the clamshell!

FLASH!

Descriptions from the Chinovi website:

Berry Garland is a deep red with berry tones and swirled with cranberry and silver sparkles.

Blue Spruce is a deep evergreen with blue interference. It is lit up with blue and golden sparkles.

Flocked is an extremely shimmery white.

Star is a darkened gold with a lot of shimmering gold sparkles.

Tinsel is a mid tone blue with tons of purple, pink, teal and silver sparkles.

Twinkle is a shimmery nude with silver and gold sparkles.

My thoughts:
I am completely in LOVE with Berry Garland and Blue Spruce. Blue Spruce is super sparkly green with blue sparks throughout. It's so beautiful. And of course Berry Garland is a deep sparkly burgundy which is rich and complex. There is not one color in this collection that isn't gorgeous and sparkly. Flocked and Twinkle are terrific highlight and/or neutral colors. Tinsel is an intense and gorgeous navy blue with tons of multicolored sparkles. So hot! Star is perfect for a neutral look with a pop. It's such a terrific sparkly gold!

Here is a quick look using Berry Garland in the crease, Star on the main lid, Blue Spruce on the lower lash line, Flocked as a highlight, and Twinkle in the tear duct area.

(On my lips: Darling Girl Cosmetics "Holly Jolly" Holo lip gloss.)

A bit edited.

You can get the full Christmas set (full sized jars) for $28.00, the full set in baggies for $5.50 or full size jars (5gr jars) are $5.00 each. The set or individual colors are also available in clam shells. Run, do not walk and get yourself this collection. It is SO worth it!

*90 days of Makeup challenge! Day 81!* Gold and Purple

Zombies!

I FINALLY have some Sugarpill goodies and HAD to use Goldilux RIGHT NOW because I've only been lusting over it for a good year. I love the color, but I do not love the fallout. Wow, wow, wow. I knew it would be beautiful and sparkly, but it's almost over the top! Never too much sparkle, right? I can not WAIT to try this foiled (and I hardly ever foil my eyeshadow.)

Dude..right? Gorgeous.

NYX jumbo pencil in "Milk" as base
Sugarpill "Goldilux" main lid and lower lash line
Sugarpill "Hysteric" blended above crease outer part of eye

*90 days of Makeup challenge! Day 82!* Mystery Eye!

Zombies,

The picture I am about to show you is just *in* my stash of pictures. I don't remember WHEN I took it, what products I used, or why. But it is SO pretty that I wanted to share.

If YOU were creating this look, which products (colors) would you have used?

*90 days of Makeup challenge! Day 86!*

Hi Zombies!

I'm back with tonight's look!

My Mom purchased this palette for my birthday and I used it today. I was just running around with kids and went full on neutral. This is one of the only neutral palettes in my collection.

Charlotte Ronson's "Henrietta" palette

FLASH

This palette is lovely. The colors are surprisingly pigmented and easily blended. I love the shimmery olive gold.

*90 days of Makeup challenge! Day 89!*

Good evening Zombies!

Tonight's post is a little different in that I did the makeup look tonight and took pictures in different lightning. I found a setting on my camera for "close up" and I'm so excited the way these came out!

Anyway, here's my eye of the day for day 89!

Believe it or not, I've had "Grog Blossom" from Morgana Cryptoria for a whole year now (I know, because the haul I ordered it in arrived on 10/24/2010) and I've never actually worn it on my eyes! WTF? So, I decided to do a Halloween inspired eye with it. I love the pink sparkles throughout!

You can really see the sparklies if you make the image below larger!

The Goods:

TFSI
NYX jumbo pencil in "Milk"
Morgana Cryptoria "Grog Blossom" main lid and into lower lash line
Evil Shades "Zombified" above crease
Urban Decay "Blackout" blended into crease
random liner and mascara

I hope you're all having a wonderful evening!
