Red Hot in a Coffin!

 Zommmmbies!

This look was a total FAIL, except for my lips. It was fun wearing a bit of Red today. I had really good intentions for this look, but I didn't let the Pixie Epoxy dry enough (because I was in a hurry) and my lower lid stuck to the top lid WITH product on it. I do love the two colors I used- Coffin looks more Orange in pictures than it was in real life. And of course the black glitter in my crease didn't show up. Anyway, we can't have good makeup days every day. What do you think?

Rapunzel was into Smut!

I just wasn't feeling "it" today.. I woke up late, rushed to get out the door, etc. etc. So, this is a very simple neutral look for me today. I ADORE Rapunzel had Extensions by Fyrinnae, so much so that I slathered it on this morning. In the pictures it looks almost Gold, but trust me, it's a gorgeous pink shimmer with gold undertones. LOVE!

I do promise to one day actually tame my ugly ass eyebrows too...hehe

 Woah Zombies, I just dated myself. Remember Wayne and Garth?!

I decided to start a new feature- for lack of a better word. Each month I'll feature blogs, makeup websites, etc. that I'm obsessed with! These women, just rock my socks, and look good doing it!  :)

My best friend Megan just started a brand new blog called "Kitschy Suburbia." Show her some love. This girl is a wonderful cook, mother, friend, and has been sucked in to my makeup addiction. She's also super awesome at doing her nails. TONS better than I am. I'm excited to see what she comes up with on her blog o' madness!

I absolutely adore the blog by Silhouette Screams! She's the coolest chick blogger and has some amazing eyes..Plus her EOTD looks are fantastic.

Another favorite blogger of mine is Nina at Meowmisu Makeup. She does amazing looks and has kick ass green eyes. She's also shares my newfound love for Fyrinnae!

I'm not totally into nail polish, though I've sort of created a new bond with it thanks to the blog Black nail polish and lip gloss. If you're a beauty blogger, you already know this blog. My girl Andrea is not only a talented nail artist, but she also owns the Indie mineral makeup company Evil Shades. She kicks ass!

I am freaking OBSESSED with Fyrinnae right now. I mean...I can't stop myself. I have major love for a few other mineral companies (*cough* one is listed above) too. But my obsession runs in cycles and right now it's here. Not that I buy a ton, but my wish list is LONG! Check them out!

Strobelight Smut Face!

I woke up this morning thinking I had jury duty. Yay, fun! So I did my makeup a little on the easy and neutral side, well, neutral for me! BUT, alas, I was looking at the wrong calendar and I am not needed this week... I had a fun field trip to the courthouse! AND, an hour after I finally get to work, daycare tells me I need to pick up my baby. So, here I am..He's sleeping and I'm blogging. This is the LIFE!

So here is what I did this morning. I didn't get many face pics as my husband was behind me making weird faces and I was bugged. It's funny, my agitation really came through in the pics..so I'll just leave those out. LOL!

Feeling HAWT Pink and Black!

Zombies! I'm baaaccccck! You can't get rid of a Zombie strain that easily..gah!

Anywho, today I felt like being bold and dramatic with my makeup, while maintaining a little bit of "professionalism." This is what I came up with. I'm actually pretty impressed by Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy at this point and may have to buy a full size. It really does bring out the true shade of eyeshadow. But hell, I'm just impressed with Fyrinnae period.

Totally Unrelated to Makeup..

This weeks edition of "Totally Unrelated to Makeup" has to do with my kids. (As if I have anything outside of makeup, my hubby, job, and kids..NOT in that order.) hehe

Anyway, my baby son Cooper turned 1 last week and yesterday we had his party. Here are some misc. pics of my big boy, as well as one of my oldest son Dade and my daughter Leia. My life is goood! Those DAMN Paladins!

Today I did a simple look with mostly Fyrinnae. I'm a World of Warcraft player, so when I saw Damn Paladins eyeshadow I had to have it. It's a unique taupe color with blue undertones. LOVE! I'm hooked on this stuff. It's a little on the neutral side, but I like how it turned out.

I'm literally having a mental breakdown here...I've installed Intense Debate Comments at least 3 times now, it works right after I install it, then stops working. Can someone explain to me how to install this damn thing and make it work, before I pull my hair completely out?! And does it not work on IE?

Today I decided to be a little more bold with my makeup. I try to keep it toned down a bit for work, but I was feeling colorful this morning. I also wanted it to be a quick and simple look, so this is what I came up with.  What an amazing Teal color Digital Faerie is!

If you haven't already noticed, I gravitate toward darker colors for my eyes and purples. LOL So when I got GlitterBoi from Fyrinnae imagine how happy I was that it was dark charcoal color with purple and pink glitter in it. LOVE!  I'm so sad, these pictures don't pic up the glitter at all, but it's there, trust me.  This is what I wore today.

My Week in Pictures

Because I wasn't happy with many of the pictures I took of myself this week (I was feeling kinda meh, I hate my eyebrows, I can't deide if I want to grow my bangs out or keep them, etc. etc.) I decided to just compile some of the best pictures of the week and post them.

I wore mostly Urban Decay and some MAC this week and Fyrinnae today (Sunday) which are the last 2 pictures. Hope you all had a great weekend.

So should I keep the bangs or let them grow out Zombies? I do like my bangs, but right now they are shaggy and make me look EMO. What to do, what to do. And WTF should I do with my eyebrows? (sigh)

Fyrinnae..Review, Lust, and Swatches!

Evening Zombies! We had a nice Saturday afternoon at the store, listening to our baby son (who's almost 1) scream throughout our shopping trip. It's always a fun time when that happens. I just stare back at the people who give me dirty looks. What am I gonna do, slap him to make him shut it? Geezus. If you don't like it, take a hike.. ASSHATS! Woah..sorry. Let's get on to the subject at hand.

Yesterday I received my first ever Fyrinnae order. (For those who don't know, Fyrinnae is an indie mineral makeup company- which is gathering a pretty solid following.) I can't even describe how excited I was. Last year at this time, had you told me I'd be addicted to mineral eyeshadow, I would have stared at you in disbelief. But now, just the thought of it makes me weak in the knees. (That reminds me of a song.) So, when I pulled the white mailer out of the mailbox, my heart skipped a beat, I broke out in a smile, and skipped to my car to go home and rip the package open. (As IF I waited until I got home.) I'm amazed...truly amazed at how gorgeous these colors are.

I placed my order on April 5th and received it on April 16th. So..that's what 10 days processing and shipping? I'm gonna just round it to 10 to count weekends. That's NOTHING! I read it could take up to 22 days to even ship. I was really happy at how fast it got to me. I was also extremely impressed at the amount of product in the sample jars- per website: Mini - 1/3 tsp in jar- Arcane Magic have 1/4 tsp in jar. I seriously believe I've received "full size" shadows from other companies with less product than Fyrinnae's samples. That's seriously KICK ASS, especially for $2.00. I also received a free sample -which from what I hear is pretty standard for Fyrinnae.




I swatched each color over NYX "Strawberry Milk." I purchased samples of the Pixie Epoxy but haven't played with it yet.



I will describe them the best I can below. For more about the shadows, colors, and descriptions, make sure you check out the website. :)


Colors are as follows: Left to right starting on top-

• Parental Advisory: bright shimmery purple
• Delvian: purple with gold undertones
• Arcane Magic Faerie Glamor: purple with lavender and blue undertones and TONS of glitter
• Sennyo (free sample): hard to describe. I want to say a medium purple with hot pink mixed in
• Arcane Magic Glitterboi (freaking HOT!): OMG, OMG...dark based purple, bordering on slate with pink and purple glitter
• Necromantic ( glittery black- LOVE): black bordering on charcoal with glitter
• Hypercool: Super hot black based teal
• Digital Faerie (beautiful): LOVE! teal blue with gold undertones. What they say is true Zombies!
• + 20 Beautification: simliar to DF but has more depth
• Meerkat: WOW....Rosy pink with gold undertones. Such a lovely and fantastic color.
• Polar Bear: shimmery gold
  
• Damn Paladins: I admit, I bought this because I play WoW...Now..I can't describe this color. Seriously. In some light it takes on a slate color with a blue undertone. In some light it's a dark gray with blue glitter. I don't even know, it's indescribable and beautiful.

I can only say one thing for sure. This was worth the (short) wait. I mean, come on, these are the most amazing and unique colors I've ever run across. And I just can't get over how glittery and girly they are, but yet some of them have the "edge" I'm looking for too. I am blown away, seriously. And NO I was not paid to say any of this shit. Seriously! I don't want to bore you with any more details. You MUST go check out the website and see for yourself. (Don't be alarmed if the website is down from time to time. It's so they can update the website.)

I give Fyrinnae 6 out of 5 Zombies!
