Happy Halloween my beautiful and creepy readers! I hope you all had a wonderful day. I had fun with my little ones "trick or treating!" They got so much candy that we're set for a month....or more.

Here is my simple little cat faced makeup. MEOW!



The Goods:
Black eyeliner for cat whiskers and nose. I used MAC "Blackground" with an angeled eyeliner brush. I also outlined my lips with it as well. The red lipstick is L'Oreals Infallible Le Rouge 10HR Wear in "Ravishing Red". It stays put FOREVER!

Sexy Vamp Halloween Look!

It's that time of year! My favorite time of year! It's almost Halloween! The time of year we can dress like we want and not give a damn! (I'm sure most of us do that anyway!) I know there's a stigma lately about Halloween these days and "sexy" women's costumes. You have to admit, some of them are just ridiculous and not practical or fun at all. Some are however, classy/sexy and fun! I decided to do a spin on a "sexy vamp" look, while trying to keep it PG.

















The Goods:
TFSI as primer
MAC "Blackground" paint pot as base
Matte back eyeshadow from Sleek's "Sunset" pallete on patted on main lid and carried down into outer lower lash line
Fyrinnae's "Sultry Samhain" blended above crease
Evil Shades "Voodoo" blended into "Sultry Samhain" and down into inner lower lash line and tear duct area
MAC "Shroom" as highlight
Sephora liner electro in "Black Electro" to line eyes
Random black mascara

Cheeks:
Milani "Fantastico Mauve" baked powder blush

Lips:
Sephora liner electro in "Black Electro" for outline of lips. I then filled in the two outer portion of my lips in with the liner, leaving the middle of the lips bare. I then patted a matte black eyeshdaow over the black and defined the line with a lip liner brush with the matte eyeshadow. I filled in the middle lip with NYX lip liner in "Fuchsia" and covered the liner with Revlon's "Fuchsia" lipstick. I made sure not to rub my lips together. I then dabbed Fyrinnae's "Sultry Samhain" over the lipstick lightly to give it a glow. I topped it all off with a clear lip gloss to make the lips look wet.

I am super proud of myself and LOVE the way this turned out. I could totally see rocking this look with a fun vampress costume for Halloween or just wearing alone for the night with a black T-shirt. Halloween makeup is fun!

Digital Sea, LOTD and Shirt of the Day!

Is it Monday AGAIN? *sigh* What better way to save a "meh" Monday than with sparkles?

Today, I wanted to wear my new Jimi Hendrix shirt that I got last week at a thrift store for $2.00. I wasn't completely sure what eyeshadow color(s) to pair with it, until I put on the ring I'd decided to wear. And.... then this happened!

And my earrings of today. The turquoise earrings were sent to me by a friend and I purchased the two nail polish earrings from Bec's Baubles.


And last but not least, my nail of the day. The base color is L'Oreal's "The Muses' Attitude" accented with Darling Girl Cosmetics "Party Favors" on ring finger.


The day ended up being a great day! I hope you all had a great start to your week!

Random Makeup, Nails, and Outfits!

I've had a busy week this week! I first found two adorable shirts at WalMart earlier this week (I know, WALMART?!) and was excited that they were both under $10.00 each. Because of my excitement, I decided to bite the bullet and show you all here on the blog!

This adorable "Happy Owl O' Ween" t-shirt was in the Halloween women's section at WalMart for $5.50! I paired it with a long sleeved black crew neck shirt and jeans. On my finger is a purple and turquoise sterling silver ring. I'm also wearing a Zombie Girl necklace a friend sent to me.  This shirt is so comfortable and cute! 


This shirt made me so giddy when I found it! It was in the women's clothing section at WalMart for $9.88! The top back section of this shirt has ivory lace. the skull is made up of gorgeous pink roses and black glitter! I paired it with a black tank top, black short skirt, and grey leggings. Pretty baller, right? I'm wearing a cute black and white bangle bracelet as well.


Here are my nails from Friday! This is L'Oreal's "Brit Invasion" with Darling Girl Cosmetics "Gold-Digger" on my ring finger to add some bling. (Gold-Digger will be available soon!)


I found this at Target today! It's L'Oreal's "The Muses Attitude." It's a hot, vampy, dark teal with just a slight flash of purple. I am LOVING the new L'Oreal nail polishes! The formula is awesome and they are coming out with some awesome new colors!


I wore this amazing combination yesterday with my cute skull shirt. The colors are all from Fyrinnae's new Samhain 2012 collection! "Mermaid Masquerade" on main lid and into lower lash line, "Sultry Samhain" in crease, and "Mischievous Sidhe" above crease and to blend. That awesome blue liner is "Peacock" smudge stick from Stila. The lasting power on this bad boy is incredible!

Lush Lacquer "Salt n Peppa" review!

It's Thursday! One more week almost down the drain!

Today, I have a fun review for you on Lush Lacquer's "Salt N Peppa" glitter blend! Lush Lacquer is an Etsy based store featuring "Handmade Nail Polish." I was immediately drawn to the store because of the fun colors/glitter Lush Lacquer has to offer.

Karin with Lush Lacquer sent me "Salt n Peppa" as it's one of their best selling glitter blends. And as you can see, there is no wonder as to why that is. With Halloween just around the corner, the possibilities are endless with this polish!



Per the Etsy store:
"Salt n' Peppa is drop dead gorgeous!!!!!!!! It is an incredibly beautiful sheer base with a mixture of different sizes and shapes of black and white glitters... squares, hexagons, rounds and bar strips make up this "killer combo". We added iridescent glitter to make it different from all of the other black & white combos out there. This is our most favorite polish now...lol! It looks unbelievable over "ANY" other colors or alone with 2 to 3 coats of polish. This polish has a smooth finish after applying a top coat. Please apply a thick top coat to seal in the glitter and allow for a smooth finish! Happy Polishing!!! :0)"

"Salt n Peppa" macro!


I absolutely ADORE this nail polish. I've used it over two different colors so far, but can't wait to experiment. I love that there are black and white strips of glitter, as well as the bigger white square pieces that stand out on a darker base color! You can also see micro holographic glitter scattered in the base which just sets the whole thing off! This is a great color to layer over yellow or orange for an awesome Halloween mani! This is the type of glitter that can be used alone and can be built up by layers or layered over different colored bases. Seriously, I have never owned something as unique as this polish and want to experiment all the time with it!

You will need a good top coat for this polish to smooth out the edges of the larger glitter pieces. I use Sech Vite or China Glaze Fast Forward top coats. With a good top coat, you can't even feel the glitter on the nail. I'm notorious for picking at my nail polish if I can feel the glitter. A full sized bottle (0.5 oz. / 15ml) is $8.75 and the bottle is HUGE and sturdy and will last forever!

How I achieve white blonde hair!

Late yesterday afternoon, I got a wild hair up my arse and decided I really wanted to go back to my white blond hair. Of ALL the hair colors I've experimented with lately, I feel the blond suits me the best. Usually, bleaching hair is such a daunting thought, especially if you have color treated hair already. I won't lie, bleach is a hair killer and can leave your hair dry and porous. I have a found a bleach that gets my hair to my desired color that doesn't leave me feeling like I just burned the hell out of my hair!

So how did I go from this:


To this in a day? (I'm wearing MAC "Quick Sizzle" on my lips.)


It's actually a really simple process. I mix most (I like to make sure I have just enough left over for emergencies) of one 1 oz. packet of Clairol Kaleidocolors bleach in the blue packet (found at Sally's or online for roughly $3.99 a package) with 2 oz. of Salon Care creme developer level 30. Also found at Sally's for roughly $1.99.

Bleach! (It kind of smells like Blueberries, no lie.)


Developer! I prefer the creme version over the clear.


I sectioned off the top portion of my hair and my bangs and generously applied the mixed bleach with a tint and bleach brush starting from root outwards. (WEAR GLOVES!) I made sure to get as close to scalp as possible with the product getting on my scalp. After all product was applied to my hair and covering the pink I wanted to lift, I put a plastic grocery bag (I was balling!) on my head and sat with the bleach on my hair for 90 minutes, blow drying into the bag (medium high heat) every 20 mins. As soon as I was done with the bleach, and felt I got the lift I wanted, I rinsed my hair with Regis Silver Shine shampoo and then conditioned the crap out of it! (I find that toning my white blond hair turns it a weird orange/copper shade, so I avoid it!)

After all was said and done, BAM! White blond hair! I do have a hint of pink left toward the top of my head, but it gives my hair character and will be fixed in the upcoming months. I plan on keeping the top portion of my hair blond from here on out!

Southwest SparkleCon 2012!

Zombies!

Happy Tuesday! Two weekends ago, I hosted the first annual Southwest Bloggers Meet and Greet (otherwise known as SparkleCon) here in Albuquerque, New Mexico! I was able to meet friends and fellow bloggers that I've been chatting with about makeup for over a year online. We had an absolute blast together and didn't want the weekend to end. Here are a few snapshots from the weekend!

We got together Friday evening for a wonderful New Mexican dinner at Sadie's of New Mexico! Food and booze! YES! Saturday morning was SparkleCon! The weather was amazing and we hung out outside just chatting about makeup and everything under the sun. I have not laughed as hard as I did with these ladies in YEARS! We had SO much fun!
