Silly little green LOTD!

Hey Zombies!

I had grand plans to do a "Top O' the Mornin'" look in celebration of the upcoming St. Patty's holiday, but once I got started, it kinda blurred into just a green look. It's OK.... not my best. But I do LOVE "Otherworld" from Fyrinnae.

My bangs ARE purple, but they've already faded into a subtle pinkish purple. I also cut my hair in the "short in back, long in front" but I just let it air dry today, so you can't tell. But hair is a whole other post!

The Goods:

UDPP all over lid
NYX jumbo pencil in "Black Bean" blended into first 1/2 of lid
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy patted onto black base
Fyrinnae "Otherworld" blended on top of back base
Fyrinnae "Dragon's Wing" blended above Otherworld and into base and into lower lash line
Fyrinnae " Madame and Eve" blended into crease (this color really needs a base!)
Fyriinae "Dinosaure Plushie" patted on top of entire lid
Living Dead Grrl "Passing the Star" as highlight
Urban Decay 24?7 pencil in "Zero" to line
Maybelline Falsies mascara in "Very Black"

Cheeks:
Hard Candy "Living Doll"

Lips:
Morgana Cryptoria "Gilded Cerise"

Have a fantastic evening Zombies!

Who says they can't go together...LOTD!

Evening Zombies!

Yesterday I had people name colors that don't generally go together on the MZ Facebook page.  I think I'll do that a lot more. It was fun!

I decided to take on Orange and Grey today...WOWZA'S people! They can work if you try!

The Goods:

UDPP all over lid
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy over primer
Hi-Fi Cosmetics "Raid the King" all over main lid and into lower lash line
Living Dead Grrl "Lead Jammer" blended above RTK
Hi-Fi Cosmetics "Mosh Pit" blended into crease
Hi-Fi Cosmetics "Words are the Remedy" and MAC "Shroom" combined to highlight

Cheeks:
Fyrinnae Glow Blush in "Enchant"

Lips:
NYX Round lipstick in "Indian Pink"

Isn't Raid the King not the most amazing Neon pink/orange you've ever seen? And it's SO easy to blend. I am so glad this is in my collection!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

I wish I was a Derby Girl! LOTD!!

Hello my Zombies!

Saturday, the best friend and I went to an old mining town loaded with old buildings and a really awesome cemetery. We had a great time. I did a simple look for the day. YES, I put on makeup to go to a ghost town. AND?!

I used mainly Derby Girl from Living Dead Grrrl and found that it's the purple version of Suffocation from Evil Shades. It has the most amazing blue shift within it's light purple base. I simply love it. :D

The Goods:

UDPP in Sin
NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk all
LDG "Derby Girl" all over lid
Aromaleigh "Almost Midnight" blended into crease
Aromaleigh "Milky Way" as highlight

Blush:
Fyrinnae "Spellbound"

Lips:
Revlon "Raspberry" with Milani 3D Glitzy Gloss in "Fashion Diva" over

On Saturday, I also pierced my ears for the 3rd time. I got Cobalt Blue studs from Claire's and the girl did a really good job even!. It so didn't hurt. I think I'm addicted to piercings boyz and girlz!

Living Dead Grrl Review and Swatches!

Good evening Zombies!

I'm excited about this review, because it's my first time reviewing eyeshadow from the UK! Lyndsay from Living Dead Grrl (on Etsy) asked me to try out her new line of eyeshadow to see how long it would take to ship to the US. (She's only considering making this an option as of now.)

I love Lyndsay's mission statement on her Etsy page:

"Freak, Geek, Goth, Punk, Rockabilly, Pin Up, Riot Grrl, Underdog... You're all welcome here!

I am a UK Based Etsy Seller looking to bring great, handmade eyeshadows to the UK. There are some fabulous companies out there however, since many are based in America this can mean long shipping times at an extra cost.

I want there to be somewhere UK Grrls (and boys) can go to shop for great products that they can get their mitts on within a few days!

You can rest assured I do not sell repackaged eyeshadow. I do not buy repackaged eyeshadow so to try and sell them to you lovely people would be the very definition of hypocritical.

Hopefully it won't be long before everyone agrees Living Dead Grrl is makeup to die for."

My samples were mailed on 01/18/2010 and I received them on 01/24/2010. Isn't that completely unheard or soemthing?! 6 days!?! I was floored when I saw the package yesterday.

I tore open the package to see this little gem!

I was very impressed by the sample baggie sizes and the cute little handwritten note Lyndsay included, but the winner of the organza bag was what was inside the little baggies!

I would be lying if I didn't say that even before being contacted by Lyndsay, that I wanted all the eyeshadow inspired by The Cure and Spaced! My husband and I LOVE that show! And yes, yes I do wish I had a British accent. AND WHAT?! The eyeshadows were all very pigmented with just the right amount of sparkle and shimmer. They reminded me a little of Shiro Cosmetics eyeshadows, for an American comparison, but all had a life and personality of their own. I don't own a color like Wooman and I love Derby Wife as it has a MAC "Stars and Rocket's" feel to it.

And I giggle everytime I read the eyeshadow called "Heeello Brian" because I think of this:

I did a look tonight with Being Electrocuted, Whip It, and Heeello Brian.

(lippie is Revlon "Raspberry"
blush is Evil Shades "Gossamar")

Like I said earlier, LDG is currently just based in the UK, but Lyndsay may open her shop to International shipping at some point. But, I think it's super cool that she's given my fellow bloggers based in the UK the opportunity to have quality product and not have to pay outrageous shipping fees. High fives Grrl!

Have you tried Living Dead Grrl?
