Who's ready for a little:

I decided to grab some pink and pink/red lipstick from my stash and swatch them for you. They are Revlon, Cover Girl, Wet n' Wild.
OMG, did I have high hopes for Stormy Pink. 1. It's a matte and 2. it's a gorgeous PINK. But as you can see from the swatch, it's not pigmented.at.all. That was 4 swipes and it still didn't apply like I wanted. I'm so bummed.
My favorite from the group is Wet n' Wild 552A, though it stained my lips like a MOFO. But it was only .69, so I am not complaining. (much)
I can honestly say I am not super impressed with any of these lippies (except for Spellbound which is EPIC). I do like the fuchsia colored lippies, but I have about 3 other lipstick in the same or similar color.
I swear if I don't get my hands on Candy Yum Yum, I'm going to be a sad camper. Good thing I have Sleek "Amped" on it's way to me. At least if I can't have CYY, I can have a similar color.
Do you own any of these lippies? What are your thoughts?

ReplyDeleteI've got "Stormy Pink" and "Spellbound" they're tow of my favorites! and that "Fuchsia Fusion" is looking awful delicious too!
ReplyDeleteYou'd think Stormy Pink would be super va-va-voom pink, but it looks a bit soft. Spellbound looks really red too. That red though is killer!

ReplyDeleteSpellbound is gorgeous! It is my favorite of all the CoverGirl lippies you posted about awhile ago. The Sleek lipstick seems to be decently close to Candy Yum Yum so hopefully it will be enough if you can get CYY.

Well I have to agree that the Spellbound looks epic for certain, and lmbo about the CYY--you and half the world are dying to get their hands on that little stick of pink ;)

ReplyDeleteI don't have any of these. But I agree, Spellbound is awesome! I'm really not into bright lippies, but will do them on occasion. And I'm with Kimberly, you do have model lips!

ReplyDeleteAs far as the Stormy Pink, have you tried MAC pink plaid?I think it is very similar in color and its a matte finish so it has great color payoff.
You NEED CYY in your life! It is unlike any other hot pink I have seen. I got that and Impassioned (also MAC) at the same time and I love them both. Check out Impassioned if you havent yet :)
Revlon's Temptress looks AMAZING on you. I might have to get it and hope it looks as good on me :D
