**!Martian Faerie Delights!**

Hello Zombies!

Excuse the absence of pretty things. I've been a little "off" this week and just haven't felt much like posting about makeup. But, I'm BACK and I feel revived and am so glad it's the weekend.

Tonight's dark faerie is Ms. Lorraine with Martian Delights. I think that this looks is beautiful. And check out her eyes! They are so striking!

Without further ado:

I am Lorraine. Still fairly new to the blogging world, but having a really good time. I am a busy woman, mum, wife, got a job in a pharmacy, and my own makeup business (I don't make makeup, I just resell it).
I have always loved makeup. I can remember from being a small child asking Santa to bring me makeup palettes at Christmas. But for a veeeeery long time I was stuck in a rut. Same colours, same looks. And then last year I discovered Aromaleigh. A bunch of bloggers. And a totally new dimension to makeup, with indie companies. It's a real discovery curve for me, and I feel like I can now express myself so much more through my makeup.
I tend to usually be a boring two-eyeshadow kind of girl. But sometimes I like dipping into the creative bowl and come out with some looks I wouldn't go out with, just like this one ! But it's all about having fun with art !

Ok -- I am going to confess -- when I first thought of doing a dark faerie look, I went to the Neopets website and started looking at how their dark faerie's done lol ! But in the end, faerie to me equals butterfly. And the dark faerie would have a butterfly that is shaped more sharply if you know what I mean, hence the pointy wings. Thought the rhinestones here and there would make it look a bit more interesting. It came out a bit too dark in the photos though :(

The Goods:

I outlined and filled the butterfly with a greasy Astor eyeliner pencil. Then I used Barry M purple dazzle dusts to fill it up, and Barry M fine glitter dust (LE928 and 31) to do the outline (black with purple glitter - #23). I drew the outer edge for a bit of contrast with a purple Barry M pencil and an icy pink Bourjois pencil. The look should have come out more shimmery and sparkly than it was, I think maybe I had too much fallout, or the pencil just drowned all the colours.

What do you think Zombies? I am having so fun with all the entries I'm getting. If you'd like to participate in the dark faerie series, email me at makeupzombie@yahoo.com and I'll fill you in on all the juicy details!

Happy Saturday Zombies!!

Yes, Neopet lol -- I am one of those adults still stuck in Pokemon age... and now that the little one can get around with the computer, there's a lot of Neopet games going on... Can't help but loving them, the drawings are so cute ! Yea ok I gather that doesn't make me much of a Zombie though !
