"This is Sabina from the blog, My Style Canvas, all dolled up as the Corpse Bride for the NYC Zombie Crawl on October 24, 2010. To get the look, her husband, Edward, a special effects makeup artist, (effects-makeup.com) applied Ben Nye greasepaint all over Sabina's body. To stipple it until it looked like skin (and not paint) took 2-3 hours. The makeup on Sabina's face is also greasepaint, and she is wearing false lashes on the top and bottom row of lashes, longer ones on the bottom. Edward also made a wig out of blue yarn from the crafts store and a bridal headpiece out of tulle and spray painted fake flowers, also from the crafts store. The gloves, with the fingers cut off, and bouquet, both spray painted blue, were also from the crafts store. Sabina's nails, though they're hard to see in the photo, have burgundy nail polish. The dress is from Urban Outfitters and was pinned and spray painted. Shoes are from Payless. The look wound up being a hit at the event, and one pic of Sabina even ended up on the Gothamist."
