A few nights ago I was wide awake, glued to my computer at 11:30 pm, I came across THIS post. It really got me to thinking what I can do to simplify my life.
I've decided to do a little "spring cleaning" in my life, blog, computer, relationships, etc. As I get older, I realize what's really important and what I just *think* is important. My family and my blog are very important to me, but sometimes, I neglect the family for the blog. And that's just not right. Thus the small hiatus I've been on from blogging.
So, the first thing I am going to do is do away with DISQUS comments. I've been SO worried about responding to each and every comment people leave, but I have to remember that blogging isn't ALL about the comments, it's about providing entertainment and information to people who read the blog and if they comment, that's even better. So, I'm going back to the good old blogger system. And I won't feel guilty if I don't get every single question answered. The transfer may cause comments to disappear for a while until I can figure out how to recover them.
I really wanted to establish "Mommy and Me-Nail Sundays" but my little girl is SO hard to get to sit still and usually ends up touching, demolishing, etc. her super sparkly mani minutes after it's been applied. We can't blame her, she's 3. So, I may wait till she's a little older and pick up our Nail Sunday's again. This doesn't mean I won't still do her nails though. hehe
Beautiful Zombie is still a go. I do have several looks still to be posted. (I'm not ignoring anyone! I swear!) And if you're still interested in creating a beautiful zombie themed look, mani, etc., please email me at makeupzombie @ yahoo dot com
I will be going through my makeup and doing a little spring cleaning as well and adding new items to my blog sale. I WILL NOT ever sell something that was sent to me for review purposes. Just wanted to throw that out there. :D
I want to be a better Mom..a better wife...a better friend. I want to do MORE, get out MORE, explore MORE! BE MORE! So, this means I'll be focusing a lot more on my photography. I'd love to see where I might take it. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, check out my second blog Walk a Mile backwards. And of course, devote equal parts of my time to this blog, my family, etc. Life is CAHRAZY!
And the best news?! At 500 followers I will be having an amazing giveaway, because you all are such an awesome group of people and make this blog so worth while and fun. And I promise to be here more and be more for you!
