Moi Minerals Review and !SWATCHES!

 Hello my lovely Zombie lovers!

Ok....I am really excited about tonight's post, because well, when I first received my package from this company, my heart sank. All the colors looked like something I already owned (in their clam shells.) So I was bummed that I might have to write my first "meh, they were OK" post. Until I swatched the bitches! Ooooo!

(the fun packaging)

A few weeks back, I contacted Holly with Moi Minerals expressing an interest in her product. She sent me samples to try out and review. The girl was so nice and helpful via email. Because I didn't find much online in way of reviews on Moi Minerals, I did come right out and ask her if her products were repacked: and here is her response. (Which I love.)

"Hell No not repackaged! Once you see what I have sent you I'm sure you wouldn't have asked that, but I know this is a big deal and know all about whats been going on! If you are referring to My basic 7 rainbows, I know they look like the "pops" and of course are made from the pops ;) but not solely "pops" each one has its own colored base, plus some additional surprises;) I work with very simple ingredients and the least to cause skin irritation, I personally can't use Bismuth Oxychloride,Boron Nitride or Magnesium Stearate&Magnesium Myristrate these really make my eyes burn especially if I am in the sun :( I am like the most super sensitive girl out there I am sure lol. So if I can't use it, why should I add it to my shadows. I like to just work with a simple natural base of micas, titanium dioxide & zinc."

I was pretty pleased with her response. She sent me Voluptuous, Emerald, Merry Berry, and Diego eyeshadows (I believe full size? in clam shells), Zombie Princess (hellz yeah) and Spawn in sample baggies. She also threw in Apple Bloosom blush and a mini lipstick in Bunny.

Each color is so freaking unique, but when I first opened the clam shells I was disappointed. I even mentioned to my BFF this morning that I was kinda disappointed. Well, came home tonight and swatched them over Pixie Epoxy. Holy hotness Batman!!!!!! I was in for a HUGE surprise.

"Emerald" looks just that in the package...Just your usual Emerald Green. BUT! When swatching it, it is Emerald Green but has a gold sheen and blue sparkles!

"Zombie Princess" is another "green." Oh wow, another green, but swatched it is a fun Kelly green with gold undertones and green sparkle.

"Diego" caught my eye on the website because of it's color shifting ability. It's a smokey purple with blue undertones. Holy shit=love!

"Spawn" is a deep charcoal with PINK sparkles. And these babies are totally visible!

"Voluptuous" is what I'd consider a vibrant violet shimmer color. So pretty!

And my favorite of the group was "Merry Berry". Now I can't be 100% sure this is an eyeshadow, because I could not find it on the website. It is freaking ahmazing!! Bright pink with TONS of purple sparkles. Makes me want to pee in my pants happy!

The picture does NOT come close to doing these colors justice. :(

The only "mehs" of the group was Apple Blossom. It's a bright pink blush and usually bright pinks like this don't mix well with super pale girls. But we'll see what happens! I wasn't totally impressed with Bunny lipstick either. It's a soft baby pink but had little pigmentation and no smell or taste. Kinda like putting vaseline on my lips. But it did seem to mositurize my lips.

Shipping from Canada did take quite a while as well, but if you're willing to wait, it won't bother you. I was pretty impressed that the package was intact and looked to be in good shape coming from such a long way.

So, please, go take a look at the Moi Minerals website. You might just see something you can't live without. And you'll be pleasantly surprised. Oh and some of her packaging has skulls on them. I love it!

And tonight...I leave you with this:

You're running down a long dock in Booty Bay, the boat is docked. You're pretty sure you can make it so you jump on your trusty steed, but your level 32 mount won't move his ass fast enough. You run, you're there, holy shit, you might actually make it. The boat is leaving, the bell has chimed. You jump toward the board, you're.almost.there...and.......EPIC fail into the &%$%$%$#@ water below...Boat leaves and the asshole level 80 Tauren Warrior laughs as he sails away into the night.  Ahhh...good times.

I really want to see how her pop colours compare to the original TKB pops, because I immediately thought she was a repackager after seeing them on her site :O
