!*Suds N' Sass Review and SWATCHES*!

Hey Zombies!

I have Internets back..It was weird last night being disconnected for the online world, but it also kinda nice just to hang out and watch some TV.

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Elizabeth with SudsnSass via Twitter and asked to review her new "A Day at the Beach" collection coming out this Monday (06.21.2010). I'd never really heard of her shop before and once I actually sat down and went through her shop, I was super excited. I saw a couple eyeshadow right off the bat that caught my eye so I was stoked to review and try her product. (BTW, I was in fact sent these samples for review purposes but that in no way alters my opinion of the product.) In reviewing the website, not only does SNS sell makeup products, but she sells soaps, bubble bars, bath bombs, and other bath yummies. Check the website for more!

Only 2 days after she shipped the samples I received them. I didn't have much time to swatch them, but Tattoo Shop immediately called my name and I swatched it. OHHELLZYEAH! I got the goosebumps swatching it. And you'll see why in a moment.

Elizabeth sent 15 eyeshadow samples, 3 Bronzers samples, 2 Blush samples, and 2 Highlight samples. (All were sent in sample baggies with awesome detailed labels.)

Colors are as follows:

Eyeshadow:

Pic 1: Sunburn (burnt Terra cotta), Beach Babe (shimmery gold), Polka Dot Bikini (shimmery rose), Piercing Parlor (shimmery silver with sparkles), and Tattoo Shop (navy blue/purple with pink and blue sparkles)

Pic 2: Tidal Wave (blue green and silver sparkle) , Poolside (sky blue with gold sparkles), Surf's Up (soft teal with sparkles), Flip Flops, (moss colored green that color with blue and purple undertones)  and Seagrass (lime green with gold sparkles)

Pic 3: Sandcastle (light beige), Beach Sand (soft pink with shimmer), Board Walk (taupe with pink undertones), Banana Taffy (banana yellow with gold sparkles), and Summertime (burnt yellow with shimmer)

Blush:
Cotton Candy and Raspberry Snow Cone

Bronzer:

Highlighters:

All eyeshadow swatched over Pixie Epoxy with the exception of the blush, bronzer, and highlighters. Click images for maximum goodness!

This collection is on the lighter side of what I normally gravitate toward, but let me tell you, the colors are beautiful and very "summery." She did a great job capturing the summertime/suntan essence. The eyeshaow were easy to blend and had great pigmentation. I did notice that Raspberry Snow Cone blush was on the harder side to blend, but I'm thinking it was the brush I was using.

My favorites in this collection and ones I will buy full sizes of are: Flip Flops, Tattoo Shop, Boardwalk, and Surf's Up, and Piercing Parlor. I'd also love to give Raspberry Snow Cone Blush and  Suntan Bronzer a good look. I will be doing looks with these in the upcoming months.

I give SudsNSass 5 out of 5 Zombies. :)

  6. Ooooooohhhh. Tattoo shop somehow reminds me of Notorius Rockstar eyeshadow from Hi-fi. Do you have it? Can you do a side-by-side-comparison?
