!Welcome to the Candy Shop!

Zombies!

Ok..Well, MY candy shop. My husband believes I have "just too much makeup." And he doesn't seem to understand the need for more. So, in honor of him, I thought I'd post my 2 drawers of "single/mineral" eyeshadow. See... I DON'T have enough! I have one more drawer to fill.. *rollseyes* Men, they just don't understand!

Ok, maybe I have a slight obsession/ addiction. But I adore my makeup. I can stand with these two drawers open and just stare. Seriously, I'm like a kid in a candy store when it comes to my makeup.

  1. There is NO such thing as having TOO much makeup!!

There are endless color combination's that require many different shades of the color spectrum to get JUUUUUUUSSSSSTTTTTTT right. Therefore, IT'S NEVER TOO MUCH!!!!!

  3. Lol maybe I'll post my drawers. I have too much. Fortunately, my husband doesn't say that. Then he knows he can't buy his video games! :-p

  7. My husband is the same way: he thinks I have way too much makeup and doesn't see why I need any more! However, there is always a need for more! You inspired me to try High Voltage, I got my first order today...and I am in love!

  11. I buy my makeup, my OH is building himself a trike. When I buy makeup I get "pfff moooore chemicals" ... when he buys stuff for his trike I say "what did you get that for?" then he goes on talking about where that bit goes and all that, eventually confess I didn't understand a bit of what he was talking about, batter my made up eyelid, and we kiss !

So he doesn't understand me but I don't understand him either -- we're on an equal playing field lol !

  12. @ Martian delights : you made me LOL ...

@ Zombie : Hubby knows it makes me happy even if I have 100000000000000000 purples which to me are very different from each other even if to a normal human eye they are quite the same. May be my pupils of make up junkie are more dilated ???

  13. OMG...if you have an addiction...then I should be in rehab! I have several drawers of eyeshadow organized by colour or brand. I'm glad my hubby doesn't care. He collects vintage motorcycles, vintage gas masks and other typical guy stuff...I collect eyeshadow and glitter. We are fine with our hobbies as long as the bills get paid. :-)
I also like to use the excuse that eyeshadow is like art supplies for a painter/sketcher. If you don't have all the right colours of paint or pencils, some creations just don't come out the same and feel like they are missing something. We've all done our makeup thinking, "If only I had THIS colour it would be perfect!". Then we go shopping looking for THAT colour and dozens of other things we don't "need". Heh heh!

  14. I love it and as long as you keep getting/finding more drawers...even in other/new shelves...then you need more pigments. :)

  15. HAHA! All your comments cracked me up. :) And yeah, looking at this again, it doesn't look like much, but I can see where *he* would think there is a lot. Little does he know, this is just the beginning.

  16. It looks quite lovely all lined up like that. OK, I'll post 'some' of my makeup stash. Then you'll understand why I'm calling you a 'beginner!' ;) However, I do realize have must have a 25 year jump on you.

  17. Haha, that sounds like me, except I'm still building my collection.
One of my favorite things to do with my eyeshadow is swatch it. I love to LOOK at it, watch it sparkle in the sun. Lol
